Welcome to Ito Acupuncture
Pain is a part of life. Sometimes it's a big part, and sometimes it isn't, but either way, it's a part of the big puzzle, the deep music, the great game. Pain does two things: It teaches you, tells you that you're alive. Then it passes away and leaves you changed. It leaves you wiser, sometimes. Sometimes it leaves you stronger. Either way, pain leaves its mark, and everything important that will ever happen to you in life is going to involve it in one degree or another.

It is often said, “Pain and suffering are the gifts that nobody wants.” In my own personal experience I find this to be wholeheartedly true. Our bodies are our greatest gifts and our most wondrous tools. It is our job as sentient human beings to learn how to appreciate our bodies and all that comes with it and to learn how to use them wisely. Pain is part of that journey. Pain is the one thing that all human beings know and have in common, but each person’s pain is also completely individual. The poet, Rumi once said, “These pains you feel are messengers. Listen to them.” I want to help you listen to those messages because I believe to know one’s own pain and suffering is to also know one’s own self.
My goal at Acupuncture Pain and Performance is to help you understand the conundrum of your pain. I wish I could just hand out a solution to each person’s problem in one session – that is not how I work. I want to thoroughly get to the bottom of your issue which might take some time. My hope is that if I teach you how to manage your body then you can get your pain under control or possibly make it go away forever.
My diagnosis will help us figure out the root of your problem. My “treatments” will assist you in your healing. Together, those things will give us the knowledge to figure out what’s going on with your body and that knowledge is true power. Healing is not just one thing. True healing is a number of things working together towards a common goal.
It is my privilege to assist you on your journey to a better understanding of yourself which will lead you to a better, more healthier body.
